Benro A1690T Travel Tripod Aluminum
I am a documentary photographer who shoots mainly weddings, as such, I don't use a tripod many times during the course of a job, but when I need one, its got to work flawlessly. This Benro fits the bill. It folds down small enough that its not a chore to haul along. I actually strap it to the backpack I store most of my gear in. It's sturdy enough to hold a professional camera body and my largest zoom lens (70-200/2.8) confidently. The twist-action legs make it really quick to set up and tear down, for a four section tripod anyway...
I don't know if I'd get this if I were a professional travel photographer, where I knew it was going to get abused regularly. I'd probably spring for the Gitzo in that case. But for less than a third of the price, this one is fantastic for regular use (not abuse).
