Great pictures at an affordable price

Nikon COOLPIX Digital Camera NIKKOR

Nikon COOLPIX Digital Camera NIKKOR

forget all the bad reviews and what other nonsense all the other people were saying this is an amazing camera this is my 4th nikon and i love all and this one by far is my favorite.
okay now for the rest of you idiots that said the camera doesn't focus when zoomed in all the way you hold the button down not all the way but some what all the way down and it will focus in or
CHANGE YOU SETTINGS and for mr NIkon please do not call your self mr Nikon if you dont have a brain in your head to insult a great camera like this making it sound horrible. This camera is amazing as hell its so clear it feels like you can reach in and touch the pictures. i dont know if you all got bad products but i for one can honestly say this is by far an amazing camera. the picture quality kills even a Canon t3
I have just compared pictures from both and i can say that the nikon won by a long shot. it makes nature seem like you cut it out and brought it to your computer or print it onto a canvas. Nikon has always been a great camera brand this camera keep its good name up. Like i said before maybe the people who gave it bad reviews got a bad batch or something but this camera is amazing and works flawlessly.
I will update this review constantly when anything changes. but for now i dont see anything changing about how amazing this camera is .

VonZipper Decco Designer Sunglasses Eyewear

VonZipper Decco Designer Sunglasses Eyewear

While Canon produces many fantastic lenses, they do offer a lower-quality line at a much cheaper price. Mind you, Canon does this to broaded their market-share and to potentially create loyal customers from this group.

I have been looking for a simple small lens to attach to my camera when I am not doing work for money. I read about the size and weight of this lens and was pleased by the many good ratings, so I decided to get it. I was not disappointed. After a month now, the lens performs as it was stated, smooth zooming, the USM is heard, but it's nothing bad, and the IS works flawlessly.

I have had no problems whatsoever mounting or dismounting the lens from my EOS 30D body, which stores beautifully amongst my other gear due to its small size. My professional lenses are twice the size and not having to carry the extra weight is a godsend.

I do wish the lens was made from more robust plastics, but if they did, the lens' price would be higher. I will merely try to baby the lens every step of the way so it will last the longest possible. All in all, this lens is worth the money you spend on it, which is why I rated 5 stars.

Smith OS Snow Goggle 2012 2013

I purchased this filter for my 2006 Christmas vacation in Hawaii. I knew that I was going to take a lot of outdoor photographs and wanted to try using a UV filter to make them more crisp. I have a Canon S3 IS which is not a traditional SLR so in order to use this filter I purchased the Canon LAH-DC20 Lens Adapter and Hood Set. Not only is this a great filter for cutting out haze in my photos, it's an affordable protective layer between the built in lens and the real world. I have many cameras with sand and fingerprints all over the lenses. It's impossible to keep them clean. Anything that gets onto this filter cannot harm the built in lens and is easily cleaned by simply removing the filter and wiping with a lens cloth. I have noticed a great improvement in my outdoor photography in clarity.

One caveat:

I was fortunate enough to get some expert advice concerning how tight to screw on filters and lenses. JUST BARELY FINGER TIGHT! Those little buggers have a nasty tendency to go from "kind of loose" to "how do you get this d@mn thing off" very quickly!

SUNGLASSES Rimless Stylish Cycling Silver

SUNGLASSES Rimless Stylish Cycling Silver

Lucy Beck-Moreau seems to have a perfect life; she comes from an affluent family devoted to fostering her promising career as a pianist and she has experienced immense success at the young age of sixteen. But that was eight months ago, and now everything has changed. Lucy's family can barely talk to her, she hasn't touched a piano in months, and she only hopes that her little brother, Gus, won't end up failing like she thinks she has. When Gus's new piano teacher asks Lucy is she ever thinks about playing again, even for herself, Lucy is forced to face all of the reasons why she quit playing, and decide on what she wants for the future.

The Lucy Variations is an intense and beautiful story about what it means to find your own way and reasons for living, in the midst of all of the noise and complications of everyday life. Lucy's family is formidable and influential, and their passion for fine music comes across strongly. It is easy to see how Lucy can feel cast adrift when surrounded by so much pressure to be excellent, but the heart of this novel is about how she finds her own way, and how she learns to play music and take control of her life by not reacting to her familial pressure or expectations. Her journey is full of highs and lows as she balances schoolwork, her two friends, and relationship with Gus's teacher, Will, with discovering how she wants to make music. Lucy is a strong and admirable character in a complicated situation, and her story is well-written, humorous, and very entertaining. The Lucy Variations is yet another excellent novel from Zarr about finding the joy and beauty in life in the unlikely places.

Cover Comments: I love this cover. It is pretty and so fitting, and it goes with the title perfectly.

AmScope 10X 20X 30X 40X Stereo Binocular Microscope

AmScope 10X 20X 30X 40X Stereo Binocular Microscope

I bought this product to digitize about 5,000 slides. I started with 900 slides of my mother-in-law. Many of her slides were Ektachrome and all but the reds were badly faded. It did an excellent job. I had some difficulty with dust just like everyone with old slides. I did the 900 slides (keeping about 600) in just a few long (8-12 hours) days. Since then I've done another 400 in just a couple of short days. It takes me three major steps 1) the scanning process, 2) the editing process, and 3) the renaming process. I have to edit (Digital Image by Microsoft - now defunct) virtually every slide. I crop to 6x4 or 4x6 for most slides. Occasionally I crop to 4x4. On some slides I have to lighten them (poor lighting in the original or shaded faces) and up the contrast a little to a lot on almost all of them. On most I zoom in and delete spots, primarily in sky, white areas, or faces. I can't see spots in multi-colored areas. I then go to My Pictures and change the title on each. I change it to "date, file box and slot location of physical slide, subject. For example, 1962 06 00 D-21 Sandy's birthday party. For most slides I only know the month, so I use 00 for the day. I start with the year, month, and then day so the slides will be ordered by date. If I have a group of photos (like a party or a trip) I order them by adding a letter after the day. Then I can control the order within the group. It's important to put the physical location on the slide in case you want to rescan at a higher resolution to print a photo. Overall, I've been quite pleased. I then burn a dvd, and the family can enjoy an old-time slide show.
Just three days before one year, my scanner deck had a hardware problem. After a couple of hours with tech support, they offered an exchange. I received the new scanner deck the next day. As with my first scanner, it took abut 3 hours with tech support to get my scanner up and running (something to do with Vista and conflicts with my HP 3-in-1 scanner). I have received absolutely wonderful tech support from HP. That alone makes me loyal to their products. However, I now see that a scanner has multiple lights and moving parts. An extended warrenty is advisable. I got an additional 90 days warranty on my replacement, but I'm going to extend it.

iPhone Replacement Pentacle Pentalobe Screwdriver

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Amazon for the speed in which we received the Fulcrum Floor Lamp. After searching unsuccessfully many sites I finally found the lamp I wanted for a Christmas gift for my 93 father whose vision was becoming weak. At first we were told it would be delivered Dec. 24th but we actually received it a week in advance so that we could assemble and learn how to use. It was an amazing light! The quality is far above what I had expected. And my father was so delighted with it as he was an avid reader. Sadly my father passed away two weeks after Christmas. While cleaning out his apartment (he lived in a senior center) another tenant asked what we would be doing with the lamp. She assisted another elderly woman to the apartment whose vision was almost diminished. We brought her in and let her try the lamp. She was so moved at how well she could read a card, that she cried. Your lamp was a hit for the second time and we happily took it and her to apartment where she now is enjoying the gift of being able to read again. Thank you Amazon and thank Fulcrum 12 LED Magnifier Floor Lamp - you made two members of our "Greatest Generation" very happy.

Sharp, fast, inexpensive

Canon 50mm 1 8 Camera Lens

Canon 50mm 1 8 Camera Lens

I bought it because it's fast (F/1.8) and cheap. It turns out it's also very simple to use because you can't even fiddle with the zoom since it has no zoom!

So armed with this lens and an indoor performance, I took a bunch of pictures, one-handed, on my Digital Rebel XT, and I ended up with some of the nicest pictures (indoor or out) that I have ever taken:

http://payne-family.org/ISTP%20CNY%20Performance%202006/

Most of the pictures are very sharp, none of the pictures were taken with a flash.

The only problem is 50mm is really 80mm if you use a digital SLR with the typical 1.6 multiplication factor. So it's no good for some situations. I think I will have to get another more wide-angle lens that's also nice and quick to cover all the bases.

Remember - a fixed focal length lens will tend to be very sharp and much quicker because it's a simpler lens. Boy was I blown away by this one.

Zone Tech YELLOW BRIGHT Lights

Zone Tech YELLOW BRIGHT Lights

I had owned Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Black) for about a year when I decided that the standard lens that it came with was rather limited in terms of what sorts of shots I was able to take, especially when it came to taking pictures of distant object. I was not willing to spend too much money on any of the higher end professional or prosumer cameras. I needed something that would take decent photographs under the normal shooting condition, something comparable to the performance of the standard lens. I also wanted image stabilization, as I had come to appreciate how important it was for making low-blur shots. This Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS telephoto zoom lens fit that description perfectly, and over the last year and a half it has met or exceeded all of my expectations.

The lens, as can be expected, shoots good high-zoom pictures, especially in broad daylight. The image stabilization greatly helps in lower light condition as it eliminates a lot of the blur. However, I have not had much success with using this lens at night, even with really long exposure while using a tripod and a remote control. In my experience I got the best result when using this lens for shooting (relatively) nearby objects at high zoom. This would give me a really large contrast and the pictures that I got that way are among some of the best I ever shot.

This is also a fairly heavy lens, especially if you are not used to interchangeable lenses, so you need to plan in advance if you are going to use at a particular shooting situation or not. I discovered that it just fits perfectly in my regular sized DSL camera bag. Also, if you are using more than one lens at the shooting session be very careful when exchanging the lenses. I recommend always trying to find a flat surface on which you can lay down any one lens at a time.

Whether you are interested in taking close-ups of distant objects or creating some interesting artistic effects, this is a perfect lens to invest into after you've gotten used to taking pictures with SLR cameras.

Great

Digital Camera Rain Cover Olympus

Digital Camera Rain Cover Olympus

Looking at other solutions, they were all predicated on sanding down the headlight and then (I guess) putting on a protectant. In that way, this is similar. With this, one bottle is the sanding liquid and the other bottle is the protectant. You use one side the sponge to 'sand' it and then the other side to put on the protectant. I didn't have high expectations, but for the price and simplicity, I thought it was worth a try. While not perfect, it was pretty good. If I could have gotten 50% cleared, I would have been happy. I'd estimate that it did probably 75-80%. After the first liquid, it seemed clearer as compared to the other headlight, but not clear. I did the first liquid on both headlights first (because you use the same sponge and I wanted to use one side at a time). It wasn't until after the protectant that the headlights looked pretty good. I should have done before and after pictures (sorry). But, overall, I'm pretty happy with the results. Not sure about the mixed results with other users. We have a 2001 Toyota Sequoia that sits outside in the San Francisco Bay Area. The headlights were pretty cloudy. To the point that I wondered if the lights were on at night.

Great Photo Messenger bag.

Lowepro LP36407 PAM Messenger Backpack Slate

Lowepro LP36407 PAM Messenger Backpack Slate

I obsessed over the research involved in buying this bag. I must have looked at just about every manufacturer there is, read every review and watched every YouTube video on the subject of DSLR bags. I was looking for a bag that would carry a couple of extra lenses and my flash, and give me easy access to them. I have a Canon 7D with a 70-200mm f2.8L lens that I use for shooting hockey. I tended to not carry an additional lens, or when I did, it was in my Canon backpack. In order to change lenses I had to take off the pack, set it down, perform the lens change and remount the pack. This Lowepro Pro Messenger bag does exactly what I want it to do. I have easy access to all of my gear, and it doesn't look like I'm carrying half the world's photographic supplies. The bag fits the 7D with the 70 - 200 2.8L with hood reversed, a 50mm 1.8, a 17 - 85mm 4/5.6 and the 40mm 2.8 lenses. It also will carry my Speedlite, my Canon charger, a batter charger, extra memory cards, pad, pen, lens cleaner and cloth with a lot of room left over. I use the zippered slot on the back to carry my Rogue Flash Bender and Small Softbox.

All that gear can get quite heavy, but the bag fits fine (and I'm not a big person). I was a bit concerned about how big this might look on me, but it really isn't all that much larger than my Canon backpack. The 2-way flap is quite convenient for either keeping things secure or giving you quick access to the main compartment. The front pocket really is big enough to hold a second body.

The bag appears to be well made. The color isn't exactly jet black. It does have a bit of a greenish overtone to it, and the color would be one thing that I would change. Aside from that, it's an outstanding bag!

does the job

Fotodiox 10 Reverse Canon 55 Macro Reverse Adapter

Fotodiox 10 Reverse Canon 55 Macro Reverse Adapter

This is well constructed, and has given me excellent results, but those new or even somewhat experienced should carefully consider using this product, as improper use could result in permanent damage to your camera, lenses, or both. With that said, I have achieved amazing results. Be sure to screw the adapter on carefully and make sure you don't cross-thread it with your filter threads. Then carefully remove the body cap from your camera, and attack the adapter-mounted lens quickly to avoid getting dust inside the body of your camera. I would highly recommend purchasing some old fully manual lenses from 35mm non-digital SLR cameras to use with this product, to preserve aperture control (you obviously don't get a connection between your camera and your lens with this adapter, so you can't use automatic aperture settings, though there are some (non-recommended) ways to trick your camera/lens. So long as the user is experienced, and uses the adapter properly, this item is an excellent way to take macro photographs on a tight budget, while maintaining image integrity.
