Worked like a charm!

NEEWER%C2%AE Bayonet Mount 18 105 55 200mm

NEEWER%C2%AE Bayonet Mount 18 105 55 200mm

This worked great on my Nikon AF-S DX 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED. Cheap fix for a lens that would be too expensive to send to the repair shop IMO. If it ever breaks again, I am just a few dollars away from a fix.

The repair itself was easy but you do need to be careful. Check youtube for how-to videos. Be careful though since this piece will fit in multiple lenses but the repair may be slightly different depending on if they are repairing the same lense or not. This took about 10 minutes and I was going slow. I used a small philips screwdriver (you will need a very small screwdriver) and a pair of needlenose pliers. Tweezers would have worked as well.

1)Remove the five screws around the bayonet. (Screws going towards the rear lens element) Pay attention to where they were, I had two different kinds.
2)Remove the ring that is around the rear lens element. (Not the bayonet piece itself but between that and the center lens)
3)Remove the three large screws parallel with the barrel of the lens.
4)Push the piece containing the metal contacts back and work the old bayonet off carefully. It will not come all the way off. You will need to remove one screw on the bottom side which is holding a small wire and contact assembly in place. This will also release a small spring and metal piston. (When replacing, the larger end of the piston goes in to the new bayonet)
5)Remove the larger (aperture) spring from the old bayonet.
6)Reverse these steps with the new bayonet piece.

Basically, if you pay attention to how you take it apart, you just put it back together the same way.

UB Classic Aviator Sunglasses Reflective

UB Classic Aviator Sunglasses Reflective

Looks:

The gold colour is very nice. Looks almost like the real thing.

Very tough and solid looking diving watch with a touch of added elegance..

Definitely looks more than the price paid and I am very, very happy. In fact I'm buzzing!

Functionality:

It is water resistant to 200m, making this watch suitable for diving and swimming.

The clasp works well (very strong) and the band was easy to size.

The magnification lens (cyclops) actually works.

Swiss Quartz accuracy .

Packaging:

The watch came packed in a box slightly smaller than a shoe box. Inside was adequate packing and a smaller, white box containing the actual yellow (excellent quality) Invicta watch box.

The protective plastic on the watch was perfect for preventing damage while in transit (I'm based in UK and this watch came all the way from the US)

The actual Invicta box is a faux leather and suede, hinged box. Made to very good specification and will look great in a drawer or wardrobe.

Overall:

I am very satisfied with this product, the packaging, and the service.

Tamron 18 270mm 3 5 6 3 All In One Cameras

Tamron 18 270mm 3 5 6 3 All In One Cameras

Debated over a month if I should purchase this lens or not but I'm certainly glad I did. Although the lens lacks a bit in low lighting I shoot alot of baseball for the paper and the lens executes perfectly for this purpose. I also do alot of outdoor shooting so for the most part no problems there. When I recently shot an indoor orchid show I used a full tripod for many shoots but could have gotten by using a monopod since the natural lighting was very good. The lens is tight with very little if any slide at this point and holds it's specific zoom selection perfectly. I'm sure with time this may change but after shooting almost daily for 3 months it remains tight. The VC works great and for an old fart like myself that is important. I predominately shoot in the S mode, adjusting ISOs and AF manually to get the best shots. If you go with the Auto or P modes you may as well save some money and buy Nikons P100 point and shoot because any artistic value is lost in those modes. The only difference I seen between this and the Nikon 18-200 is the extra $$$ you will pay for the Nikon and loose the extra 70mm you get with the Tamron. Would recommend this lens for all---hobbiest or pro...............

Worr Games 700 151 01 Flex 8 Sand

Worr Games 700 151 01 Flex 8 Sand

These are VERY good glasses for the money. For $29.95, you'd be a fool to expect lenses as good as a $150 pair, but these really are excellent. I compared them to some high end polarized glasses and these (I got the "caramel" color with amber lenses) cut glare and enhance contrast as well as most high end shades. Very clear. They will be great fishing glasses that I won't have to worry about damaging or losing. The full wrap style fits great and covers your eyes fully - great peripheral coverage - with just enough room around the lenses to let air in. They are super light weight, flexible and tough. And though not advertised, they came with a hard case and two different neck lanyards! Along with the microfiber case and cleaning cloth. And yeah, they don't look cheap either - pretty nice. I'm impressed and will buy from JiMarti again.

52mm Tulip NIKON NIKKOR 18 55mm

52mm Tulip NIKON NIKKOR 18 55mm

This bag is a god sent!!! The Case Logic Camera Sling fits it all - I can easily fit my Canon 30D with 50mm prime lens, a 430EX flash, a 24-105mm lens, two separate lens filter kits, my battery charger, a spare battery, and still have room to fit an iPad, my wallet, cell phone, sunscreen, and keys with more room to spare. Just for chuckles, I was even able to fit my old Canon PowerShot S5IS in the bag in the top pocket, in addition to my 30D setup.

My husband and I took it with us while we were vacationing in SoCal with the kids - it's not overly huge (I'm 5' and small framed) and I could easily carry it without feeling like I was lugging around a huge mammoth backpack and it's lightweight, which is great considering all the equipment is heavy! It's also comfortable to use - after a week trip, neither one of us had any shoulder pain from carrying the bag for extended periods of time, and it even fit under our stroller (we have a Phil and Ted Sport). If we wanted to, there's even a place where we could attach our tripod to the bag - while we didn't carry our tripod in that pocket, we found that it was perfect to hide our cell phones in! An added bonus is that this bag comes with a rain cover - it came in handy when we went to my cousin's wedding and it started pouring when the festivities were over - we were able to cover the bag and didn't have to worry about it getting too wet on the walk back to the car (even with an umbrella, we got soaked kind of rain)

My one gripe is that the camera bag has to go over your left shoulder - I'm used to wearing slings on my right shoulder, but considering how useful this bag is, I'm willing to convert! Also, there's an added buckle you can fasten to make sure that the bag doesn't shift around while walking. I'm really happy with the Case Logic Camera Sling - this is something I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again! Highly HIGHLY recommended!

This is what I wanted

Pioneer AVIC Z140BH Touchscreen Navigation Receiver

Pioneer AVIC Z140BH Touchscreen Navigation Receiver

After a week of researching the best GPS/DVD combo drives I bought this unit. I had a DVD/GPS system in my car before this unit and it was garbage.
First of the picture is very clear even on sunny days the screen still looks good WVGA display. I had mine bypassed so i can played music dvds while i drive. The gps fuctions well. I most use my iphone on it. Sound quality is amazing. It has truly delivered crisp clean sound and has a built in digital equalizer. I was going to purchase the Kenwood version of this but i found that this unit has a fast interface, meaning you hit a button on a screen and stuf happens immediatley like an iphone theres virtually no lag. Boot time is reasonable id say 15 sec for the screen but if you had music playing id say the musci on in 10 sec or so... You can also choose what color the LEDs are for the system. my car has orange leds on the odometer and main dash so this unit matches like its a factory install. theres more apps like pandora some few others that can be used on this unit. has call feature. very clear phone calls through my iphone. This thing has all the features of the popular appRadio but more. but the sheer speed of the interface and picture quality is what really sold me.. the unit is not pixelated at all. looks even better at dusk without all that sunlight glare. please note you must buy that iphone dock cord to get the full use of this unit if you have an iphone/ipod etc its like $30 on amazon

Celestron 93625 Universal 1 25 inch T Adapter

Celestron 93625 Universal 1 25 inch T Adapter

So I was having the same issue that the other people with poor ratings were stating, couldn't get the telescope and camera to focus. Basically waiting for a non-cloudy night where I could see the moon, something to focus on. 1st attempt I hooked it up, but could not get the moon to focus. Thought that I couldn't get everything to go close enough. Then I tried it one night without the camera just the adapter and the telescope, realized that it needed a lens in the adapter. Now was figuring how is this going to work. That's what the little screw on the side is for, to hold a lens in the neck of the adapter. Also however my lens inside the adapter makes the lens protrude inside the camera body. So I didn't end up screwing the adapter fully onto the t-mount. Just enough to get it to hold. Then pictures galore. Simple product just a tube to allow you to attach the camera to the telescope, like the option of changing lenses as this lets me have different magnification shots of the sky.

Jtech 5 SMD Lights Super Bright

Jtech 5 SMD Lights Super Bright

This is my second purchase of JTech LED T10 light.

I learn a couple of things, after reading reviews and installing them as parking lights on my Motorcycle.

1). If you have Amber or Red Running/Parking lights, be sure to chose the correct LED color.
I have an older Goldwing Motorcycle, which has an aftermarket lighting assembly.
I had purchase the White JTech LED's, which I thought my Red Lens Covers would be able to
mask all white light.

However I learn that the White LED is strong, which gave my Red Lens a "Red Chrome" look.
Therefore, if your lighting needs are Red, Amber or Blue, chose the LED Color.

My Red Lens are Rich in Color.

2). Reading reviews about DOA (Dead On Arrive), I too had experienced the same thing.
HOWEVER...I did not think about FLIPPING the LED 180 Degrees, for the sock.
What I thought were dead, were actually working!

Thinking about Positive and Negative Flow, it's apparent that one lead has a positive side.
Therefore, if it is dead, flip the LED/Blub 180 degrees.

3). I am about to purchase my third set. I am VERY happy with the results.

Best anti fog ever!

Two Bottles Sea Gold Anti fog

Two Bottles Sea Gold Anti fog

For the past year I had been having increasing trouble removing my gas permeable lenses at the end of the day. Not sure if it is dry eyes (partially, maybe), looser eyelids (maybe as well, partially the cause), but whatever the cause, it was totally frustrating and getting to be a BIG ORDEAL to remove those lenses at night. (flood the eyes with lubricant drops, lie on the bed, use tissues to get a STRONG grip on the side of the eye for tugging...) Then my opthamologist said she had used these little plunger things in Med. School, and they were great. I went online, found these, ordered 4 (they are tiny and get lost easily). All you have to do is dip the suction end into your wetting solution, then plop it onto the contact. PRESTO...it grips really STRONGLY and pulls that contact right out of the eye. Also fantastic for those times when a foreign object (dirt, eyelash, whatever) gets into your eye and you MUST remove the lens or risk scratching your cornea (which has happened many times since I first got my lenses in 1960!!). With these, you just hold open the eyelids with one hand, use the plunger with the other and GRAB THAT CONTACT. I absolutely love this. I cannot understand those who say they do not work. USE A MIRROR...I find that for some reason I have more trouble landing FLAT on the contact on my left eye than on my right, unless I use a mirror. And don't forget to DIP IN WETTING AGENT first (water also works). With those two things, these little gems are worth their weight in gold. I keep one in my wallet, one elsewhere in my purse, one in my travel bag, and SEVERAL extra in my makeup drawer. The only problem is that they are tiny (about an inch long) and the case is CLEAR (easily lost, easily.) I have received them in orange, white and lavender. Seems they just come in a variety of colors. Like the orange best because it is easiest to find.

Polaroid Telephoto Accessory 75 300mm 55 200mm

Polaroid Telephoto Accessory 75 300mm 55 200mm

This is large, just like the ones were back in the day. It has streets in it, though they aren't named. The FIRST thing I did when I looked at it was find the streets for the places that I had lived the longest (one 22 years, one 14 years, and one about 10 years or so). It's just really interesting all the things you can find in this. I found things (and places) I had never known existed, that were within a few miles of my homes! Next I looked at wildernesses and swamps all over the state. Huge places that are either unliveable or owned by the govt and not for sale.

We found a route we didn't know about to a city up in Georgia, and drove up there yesterday. Have just been looking at it again and seeing all kinds of things I had never known about in different places. (Enjoying it just like I did almanacs when I was a kid!)

I'm going to look for a couple more states to see if they have one of these on them too. I would say the best thing about this atlas is to look at and see what things are in and around certain areas you may be interested in. (There are several really strange looking things in the atlas, which make me want to go look them over. Probably not a good idea!)

I definitely recommend this for people who live in Florida or who are moving there. If you are traveling, would recommend if you're going to do a fairly long road trip. Not so much for your run of the mill tourist. Not unless you want to thoroughly investigate an area and get off the beaten track.

Simple and Smooth

NYX Pencil Shadow Cottage Cheese

NYX Pencil Shadow Cottage Cheese

I love makeup and NYX but I have never ever used an eye highlighter pencil of any sort until this one, now I will never look back. I know it says this pencil is an eyeshadow but I'd never use it as an eyeshadow just because I don't like the idea of cream shadows. I've seen tons of gurus on Youtube use this pencil in the way I did today, which convinced me to buy it, and I'll swear by it now. I used it for the first time today in two ways. I put it on over my eyeshadow primer and it made the colors I put on more bright than they would be without it. I then used it on my inner lids by my tear duct and lined my water line with it. I would like to get a smaller pencil in this color for that but the effect was PHENOMENAL! I couldn't believe how much it made my eyes pop. Just adding that hint of white from the Milk pencil made my eyes look so much bigger and brighter I couldn't believe it. I would use this even on days I don't wear makeup just to have that really awake look. I will be buying more of this color.

Nice glasses!

Ray Ban Aviator Non Polarized Sunglasses Gradient

Ray Ban Aviator Non Polarized Sunglasses Gradient

The glasses are exactly what I was looking for and I looked for a very long time. I'm a woman and I didn't want the glasses to be huge on my face, but these are perfect and they fit my face perfectly. One thing though, when you get them, you have to take them to any place that does glasses and have them bend the arms to fit your face...because they are brand new, the glasses have never been touched, therefore when you put them on, you'll want to adjust the arms to your ears. I am a member at Sam's Club and I went to the optical department and they adjusted the arms for me at no charge. I know that any other place that has an optical department would do it too. The description of the glasses is spot on. Brown lens, gold frame, logo on the lens. They are awesome and they are my everyday go to glasses. I will also be taking these on vacation with me. They don't fall off of my face, to which is important when you're moving around and they look so stylish.

Snap On Threads MagicFiber Microfiber Cleaning

Snap On Threads MagicFiber Microfiber Cleaning

Being a Nikon DSLR user for years, I wanted to remain loyal to the Nikon brand. After reading review after review for weeks, I was turned onto this little beauty.

It's amazing. I was amazed as to how light the camera weighs, but not light as in "cheap". Just not heavy or "tank-like".

Focus is razor sharp, low light ISO is quite literally the best I've experienced in a point and shoot of any kind. It really is on par with some of the more expensive Nikon DSLR range (not quite D700 or D3, but up there).

It feels good - controls are intuitively placed and solid. The dials feel as they've been attached by Thor's hammer - really solid.

Best point and shoot I've owned - I used to be a Cannon guy in the point and shoot line - not any more.

Oh, and if like me you were tempted by the Nikon Coolpix S9100, save your time - don't buy it. It's worthless. Those $1 one-use-only cameras at CVS take sharper pictures. I returned it within two weeks - awful, bulky, and feels cheap.

Purosol Optical Cleaner

Purosol Natural Lens Cleaner 4oz

Purosol Natural Lens Cleaner 4oz

It has been over a year since my eyeglasses were this clean, super-sharp, and streak/reflection free. But, using Purosol and their related microfiber cleaning cloth, one short burst on each side was all it took.

Mind you - I've been using traditional eyeglass cleaner (and microfiber cloths) for years. But in the end, the lenses are tough to clean the first time - and you have to work to get the streaks out (my eyeglasses have a non-reflective coating).

Next, I tried Purosol on my Nikon DSLR lens, and once again outstanding streak-free results. For a camera lens, however, I would recommend following the included instructions by spraying a small amount on the cloth and THEN using it to clean the lens, rather than letting the cleaner get into the edge of the lens.

Finally, I cleaned 3 non-glare LCD monitors (a 15" laptop, 20" LCD, and 30" LCD). The 30" (Apple Cinema) is notoriously difficult to clean, even with the microfiber cloth that Apple provides. Using Purosol, focusing on half the screen at a time, and using circular motions as recommended cleaned all 3 monitors to like-new. It doesn't get any better than this.

Add the alcohol-free, non-toxic properties and I'm simply blown away. Yes, it's more expensive than cheap solutions, but you don't need to use as much and the results are stunning. I would gladly pay more (although I hope Purosol doesn't read this!)

Vanguard VGP-300W Digital Camera Hard Case

Vanguard VGP 300W Digital Camera Hard

Vanguard VGP 300W Digital Camera Hard

We purchased a total of 56 Maxxima nightlights for family and ourselves. We ordered 2 of each of the models I will cover below to test them and see which ones we liked. Then we ordered 46 more of the nightlights our families all preferred.

This model MLN-15WL-02 LED Nightlight is GREAT! It has a white cover and is easier on the eyes at night. It also lights the area so you can see to navigate throughout the dark very well. All of our families preferred this model we bought 48 of them (24 two packs) including the first 2 test models. We purchased these nightlights in June, July and August of 2008. We received 2 defective ones. Maxxima promptly replaced them. One wouldn't light at all and one only worked on low setting. I am writing this review on June 11th 2009 so it's been about a year and none of them have burnt out (including the other models).

This model MLN-11-02 we use in our stairway we have it shinning down on the steps. It works well for that purpose. Good if you don't want much light around the room or light hitting you in the face at night.

Model MLN-10 LED nightlight is we would say the dimmest of the 5 models. It has a directional cover that you can spin around but we did not like this light. You can aim it down also. But through the vents in the top it has annoying beams of light that shine up.

Model MLN-09 LED nightlight has a clear lens and is hard on the eyes at night. It lights the area pretty well. But we did not prefer this model of nightlight

Model MLN-15CL-02 LED nightlight is a bright night light that lights up a room well. But this clear lens is also hard on the eyes at night. We didn't prefer this model.

All of these models save energy! And we all prefer the bluish white light they give off opposed to regular nightlights.

we have owned these nightlights for 13 months so far there has been no failures.

EzFoto center pinch snap Nikon

EzFoto center pinch snap Nikon

This case is exactly what I needed. I had a book-bag type case for my Panasonic Lumix G1, but I wanted something small that I could use when I didn't want to carry my big bag around, but still wanted my camera to be protected. This fit the bill. My camera is a Micro Four-Thirds, not a true DSLR, but I imagine they are similar in size. Fit my camera perfectly, but with no room to spare. My Lumix G1 is 5 inches from viewfinder to lens cap. So, if your camera is any larger than that, you might want to think about another type of case. As far as quality, it's great. Has a really sturdy feel to it, without being bulky. It's nice looking too. And I love that it has a handle and a long strap, which makes it easy to grab in a pinch. Also, very easy to open quickly. I couldn't be happier with this product. It was exactly what I needed. It didn't include the camera cleaning brush that was supposed to come with it, but that wasn't an issue for me, as I had one already. So if you are counting on that, be prepared to be disappointed. Otherwise, it's perfect!

Digital Innovations 60120 00 CleanDr Cleaner

Digital Innovations 60120 00 CleanDr Cleaner

When my very expensive CD player stopped recognizing CDs ("No Disc") I was pretty depressed. The laser wouldn't focus and the CDs wouldn't even spin. I thought I was staring at hundreds of dollars in shipping and repair costs. After searching around on the internet I discovered that the problem may be a dusty laser lens. I purchased this laser lens cleaning disc, went through the short cleaning procedure a few times, and now all is well. I can't say that this is better or worse than similar products, just that it seemed to be of good quality and it worked for me. Obviously, this disc won't fix mechanical problems, which are fairly rare; but if your CD/DVD laser is dirty, which is common, this will clean it (you should run a disc like this in your player periodically). If your CD/DVD player is skipping, freezing, and/or getting garbled, I would highly recommend cleaning the laser lens before bringing your player in for repairs or tossing it out.

Wit seems to be rare these days. I can only seem to find it occasionally in the infrequent fight people have with each other. But you never seem to find many people anymore that just have wit, and use it often as such. But I believe Shel Silverstein is one of those people. Most people have probably read his books- he writes many poems for young children but I've discovered that now as I read them when I'm older I see so much more in them and appreciate them even more than I did. His poems are highly respected and show kids that poems can make sense and be fun- not so confusing and deep all the time.

I for one am not an expert poet but I have written a few poems and I do realize that it is difficult to write a true, quality poem. Shel Silverstein writes amazing poems that are silly, but deep at the same time and are truly of quality. His poems are like the other side of the moon. They show a completely different way of thinking of things and looking at life. You read a poem and you sit back and think to yourself, "huh... that is truly brilliant," and so it is. On the surface, they are silly and funny, but underneath they are brimming with meaning and thought. How rare and ingenious that is.

I want to read many more of his books, they are truly inspiring to me. They are all a reminder not to look through life in the same lens you always do, which I think is a good reminder for all of us.

55 250mm 4 0 5 6 Telephoto Protection Accessory

this was a christmas gift for an amateur DSLR photographer. It is in addition to the standard lens on the Canon T3. It works exactly as advertised and the package of accessories it came with is good to have. the photos that she has taken so far have come out real nice. We took it up on a mountain and the zoom feature is nice. the price was great, and the value of this package is excellent. the quality of the lens and the other products is high. nothing negative to say at all. overall we are very pleased. i did ALOT of reasearch on this lens and have read some less than excellent reviews and some great reviews.
So my addition includes this caveat: if you fancy yourself to be a professional or semi-professional photographer, then buy yourself a fancy high end lens. If you buy a VALUE priced product and it doesnt perform like a high end product, then its not the products fault - its yours. this lens is a GREAT VALUE PRODUCT that meets or exceeds all our expectations for a zoom lens UNDER $200! if you are a casual nature or adventure/sports photographer and have $200 to spend on a lens- then do not hesitate- buy this one!

Kindofsmile Leather Camera Nex 5r Shoulder

in the hospital we use MEDICAL grade temporal therms. (not like the Exergen home model) but this aural is my - and most doctors - choice for home use. BTW, rectal is STILL gold standard in medicine, and aural is rated as the closest second.

CHANGE THE COVER EVERY TEMP! I know they're costly, but that's only way to ensure accuracy and avoid spreading infection from any ear bacteria.

When you need to be spot on, get three measurements - one Left, then Right, then Left again. Temp will vary from ear in to ear in EVERYONE. Take THE HIGHEST read and use that as your treatment threshold. With MINIMAL practice, you can get when they're sleeping, awake, ear-ache - basically any type of fever, anytime.

Buy a small flashlight to bring in room with u if you're that worried bout seeing the measurements right away. But remember, the therm stores last 63measurements anyhow, so take readings then go to lit area to read. Easy enuf.

58mm Clear Haze Multi Resistant Coating

58mm Clear Haze Multi Resistant Coating

Simply put, there are more affordable options that provide more than adequate if not equal optics for the money. But if you swap filters often enough you'll probably find that B+W's filters have less issues with flex and, more importantly, soft (i.e., easily damaged) threads like those sold by Tiffen and Hoya that I've experienced in the past. Cross-threading a filter is NOT my idea of providing nice treatment to any of those expensive lenses of mine, and having done that once or twice in my lifetime I've sworn that I will always do my best to get the best-made filters available to protect and use on MY glass, even if it costs a bit more. Any filter can be damaged, but I've had great experiences with B+W products and until they prove themselves otherwise unworthy, will continue to use them again and again.

Select A Vision Flexi Reading Matching Purple

Select A Vision Flexi Reading Matching Purple

I was drawn to this book after listening to an interview with Dr. Remen from the "Speaking of Faith" series on National Public Radio. I could tell from the interview that I was listening to a wise and compassionate person who was speaking from a deep well of experience about the real needs of patients, families, and those involved in health care delivery.

Remen is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California-San Francisco and a chronic sufferer from Crohn's disease, an often debilitating illness. This volume is a collection of brief stories from her own experiences as well as the lives of hundreds of patients she has counseled. Remen has been something of a medical reformer and pioneer as she turned toward the emotional and spiritual needs of cancer patients she was counseling.

Typical of the moving stories in this book is the selection about a man with cancer named Dieter. Convinced that his chemo was no longer working, Dieter told his doctor he wanted to stop the treatments but to continue his appointments just to talk. His doctor pushed him away, saying that if he discontinued treatments, there was nothing more he could do for him. Dieter told his cancer support group, "My doctor's love is as important to me as his chemotherapy, but he does not know." Ironically, Remen discloses in this story that Deiter's doctor was one of her counseling clients, although neither Deiter nor his doctor knew that, and she could not disclose it. The doctor was depressed and isolated, complaining that he was just another white coat and that no one cared for him. Sadly, neither doctor nor patient could receive healing from each other.

Remen's mission has been to base health care relationships on the whole person. This requires new forms of medical education which she has developed. Remem herself has said that she had to "unlearn" much of her own medical training--with its emphasis on detached clinical professionalism--in order to be someone who not just cures but heals. This collection of stories reveals much of the fruit of this struggle. All of us will benefit from knowing that true healing occurs when who we really are shows up.

Ironically, Remen discloses in this story that Deiter's doctor was one of her counseling clients, although neither Deiter nor his doctor knew that, and she could not disclose it.

A Book for Everyone

Kitchen Table Wisdom Anniversary ebook

Kitchen Table Wisdom Anniversary ebook

UV Filter is transparent

Hoya Ultra Violet Coated Filter

Hoya Ultra Violet Coated Filter

Let's be honest with ourselves, using filters to protect the investment we've made in our lenses is absolutely essential. As a photography student on a budget, it can be tough finding a great filter that doesn't soften the lens, but at the same time doesn't leave me shelling out $50-$100 for nothing more than a UV filter. I'd used Tiffen filters before, but I found they warped the images I was making when they were on my lenses.

Hoya is a very well-known brand in the photography world. I'd say, when it comes down to filters, it really comes down to Hoya and B+W. The latter's price point is more often significantly higher, but I didn't feel like I was sacrificing anything by going with the Hoya.

This filter arrived perfectly in protective packaging. It was easily applied to my Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens. It stays on it all the time and the lens is still as sharp as it would be if the filter wasn't on. That was honesly all I was looking for in a filter so I feel my needs were met.

At less than $20, this filter is a pretty great option to protect your prized glass. It won't enhance your images in any way, but I find that lack of influence really ideal. This item's most important purpose is protection, which it does well.

Billingham 445 Camera Shoulder Khaki

Billingham 445 Camera Shoulder Khaki

I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the quality of the bundled items, but even if you just factor in the cost of buying a zoom lens on top of the standard kit body and lens, you're saving around $50 by buying this bundle. The 70-300mm lens is Canon-branded, and it almost seems heavier than the camera body itself (feels like a quality item).

I received my order less than a week from the date of purchase, which I was happy with. All of the items were packed nicely and worked well out of the box. Not all of the accessories are super great quality, but a lot of it is useful. The SD card is fast, the extra battery is handy, and the tripod is light but sturdy.

There was an issue with the 70-300mm lens, which had a speck of dirt or dust under the front piece of glass. I fired off an email to customer service the evening I received the package, and received a response with a free shipping label by the next afternoon. I sent out the lens last Friday, and received the replacement today. It appears to be defect-free and is working well. I'm still giving a 5-star rating because these sorts of things happen with mass-produced items, and the supplier (Focus Camera) handled it very quick and very well.

I'm not a professional photographer by any means; I'm an avid iPhoneographer, and bought this because I plan on spending the summer in an area where there's no cell phone service. I want to take pictures but it seems dumb to use my phone.

I've only used this camera to take a few pictures so far, but it seems fast and the pictures look good on my computer. Also, it has the same number of megapixels as the brand-new T5i. I know megapixels aren't everything, but I think that if you're looking to get in to SLR photography and don't necessarily need the newest and greatest Canon model, this is a good camera to get without worrying it'll be obsolete any time soon.

Great camera bag, love the detachable travel case too.

Case Logic SLRB100 Backpack Holster

Case Logic SLRB100 Backpack Holster

This is a great bag if you are looking for something that is big and will hold lots of camera gear!

The main compartment can be divided into many different arrangements all with plenty of padding. The side pockets are very thin and will only hold thin items like batteries, memory cards, etc.

There is a thin but large compartment between the main compartment and the back straps that will fit a 15" laptop. This would be useful if you wanted to pack all your gear in one bag to transport it. I can't imagine hiking with my large laptop in the bag.

The day holster is very nice! I've seen these before but never used one. The concept is simple, the holster is very light and it has a ring that fits onto the strap of your camera. Because it is so lightweight it can hang from your camera strap while you use your camera--and yet the holster is right there on the strap to easily put the camera in when you are not using it. The amount of protection from the day holster falls short of what a regular case would do--but it would protect again some scratches, slight bumps, and it would cut down on dust if you were in a dusty area.

I currently use a slightly smaller Case Logic DCB-308 Camera Sling which I love. I've gotten spoiled on how easy it is to access the camera pocket on that bag--I can just swing the sling around to the front and easily unzip the pocket to remove my camera. Compared to the sling pack this one, with the camera pocket on the top back, isn't as convenient so I still plan on using the sling bag for everyday use. However, when I need a LARGE bag to carry everything--this is the one I'll use.

Camera Plastic Normal 18 200mm 3 5 5 6G

Camera Plastic Normal 18 200mm 3 5 5 6G

The Rokinon 8mm Fisheye lens is my new favorite. Its sharpness, contrast and color saturation are on par with my 17-40mm canon L series lens which costs three times as much. It has great center and edge to edge sharpness. It has little chromatic abberation or color fringing, which is excellent for such an extreme lens. I'm using mine on a canon T2i camera body and the fact that it is a totally manual lens is hardly noticed. Focus is almost a non-issue on an 8mm lens as its depth of field is usually everything in your picture. All I do is put the camera in aperture priority mode and adjust the aperture on the lens instead of through the camera body. The T2i does a great job of correct exposure with this lens. I noticed a very slight loss of sharpness when shooting at f3.5 but that is totally normal for very wide angle lenses shot wide open. I noticed that the lens controls flairing very well and has an excellent build quality. I am so glad I purchased this lens instead of the much more expensive Sigma or Canon fisheye. Finally, with the lens being totally manual, there is less to go wrong with it so it should last a lifetime.
