Contour 1700 2
I bought this camera over the cheaper older ones for 2 reasons. 1 the Bluetooth option (sync to phone for use with the app) and 2. GPS.
When you use your camera and download the video to "Storyteller" Contour's software, you have the video and in the top right of the screen you'll have google maps pinpointing your position with a section below it depicting your SPEED, ELEVATION and DISTANCE traveled. Essentially the bare minimum of what a bicycle computer would tell you...pretty slick!
You can follow your position on the map as you watch the video in real time...you just have to use the mouse to scroll the map as your position circle will travel off the section of the map you're looking at...it doesn't refresh the map or track the map as your position moves....that would be a nice feature.
The Storyteller software doesn't edit your video...I haven't figured that out yet.
Check out (on YouTube: "DataDrivenAthlete") This cycling coach uses the GoPro camera but utilized "DashWare" software to bring the video and all your cycling computer (IE Garmin 500 cyclocomputer) data to one interface, showing up like a car dashboard. You'll see what I mean when you see the videos of the bicycle races. Contour cameras do the same thing.
Both will cost about the same for ME
BalasHapusI am looking into some cars and I got a offer for a 92 Mazda Protege with a rebuilt engine only 85000 miles but the manual window wont roll down and the bumper needs to be replaced for $1700($700 down and $50 a week)and also a 1999 Ford Contour for $1000 ( I must admit this one looks better) a new engine (about 25k miles on it) Car has 147k total miles. But this guy doesn't have the Maintenance report on the car. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I am a single parent of 2 and need a car bad and it will be my FIRST car I want to make the right choice as far as reliability is concerned.
