I had been looking for tinted safety glasses for quite some time. I've owned several pairs of AO Safety glasses that are large enough for me to wear over a prescription pair of glasses, but they stopped selling the model that I typically buy. These fit the bill quite nicely. They are inexpensive, small profile (for overlay glasses), lightweight, and are Z87.1 "high impact" rated (+S). The side shade works OK, but the frame does block some peripheral vision. There is a top and bottom shade that drastically reduces glare -- Much better than my old AOS+S glasses. I bought an amber pair as well as the "smoke" gray dark tint, and I find that having two different options is quite helpful. I wear the amber glasses in lower-light conditions, such as early morning or early evening, or when it's overcast. Both are 99% UV blockers.

  1. These safety glasses fit very nicely over my prescription glasses which are fairly wide -- nearly 5.75". I am impressed with the overall quality and plan to use the yellow lens model for eye protection while doing home projects as well as for target shooting, hunting and night driving. I highly recommend this item.

  2. I had previously spent $40 each on two pairs of "fit-over" sunglasses. I bought these for about $12 including shipping. I don't wear the expensive ones anymore - I only wear these! It's fun to see everything in yellow, contrast is improved, glare is diminished, and they're just plain fun. I recommend them highly.

  3. Very nice driving/shooting glass. I use it for driving in the dawn or in city at night. Also as my indoor shooting glasses. My red lens sporting glasses works well under the sun, while the yellow lens sharp up the image at dark situation and reduce reflection

  8. My eyeglass prescription recently changed and with the ever-so-slightly larger frames, conventional shooting glasses no longer fit over them. I tried looking around in stores first, but no one has anything but the standard size for people without glasses. I ended up selecting these because of a combination of price and the yellow tint lens.

I was afraid they would be monster-big, trying to cover all possible frame sizes out there. They are a bit larger than the sleek glasses you normally see, but they're not as bulky as safety-glasses from a hardware shop. They are just about as large as they need to be for fitting over my prescription glasses.

These are very comfortable to wear. I forget I left them on sometimes. My previous glasses distorted a little bit, but I haven't noticed any distortion with these. A friend borrowed them and he liked them so much he ordered two pairs for himself, and I added another pair for myself as well. I can always keep a spare, let a friend borrow them on a range trip, etc. It's great having glasses that don't distract you when shooting.

  9. they are glasses and they fit over my glasses. Got them to keep the wind and bugs out of my eyes when riding my sport bike and they work. Night vision is not impaired at all
