Die-hards are just checking around, so let me speak to the newbies. just for Zircher's art, this is worth it. It isn't only flash, though. It's a subtle masterpiece. I even sent him a message regarding one panel reflection of Jack that stunned. He responded appreciatively. The story looks through the lens of occult, translates forward to depth of character, and all behind the veil of some terrifyingly subtle raucous humor, or perhaps it's more like brash subtle comedy. It puts it in a blender of tearing flesh, mysterious past, and violence. You've got Shadowman. Trust me. It's your new favorite.

Shadowman is about Jack Boniface, a man who doesn't know his parents, or much of his past. A new character named Mr Twist is a villain working for Master Darque. The comic takes place in New Orleans,Louisiana and has a lot to do with voodoo and evil powers. Jack becomes the Shadowman to stop the villains. This is VEI 1st TPB of Shadowman and the beginning of his reintroduction to comics. It collects the first volume and if you liked the original, you should love this.

Now in 2012, Shadowman is back. Justin Jordan and Patrick Zircher brings Jack back to life. This issue is totally action packed. If you love comic books with blood and horror, then this book is for you. You are going to love this book. Valiant keeps to impress me with another title. Shadowman #1 is another solid entry in the Valiant Comics superherouniverse
BalasHapusShadowman was my favorite Valiant character during the 90's when Bob Hall was writing and doing the art on it. Hence 14 years later Jack is back. Beautifully Drawn by Zircher this new Valiant title hits all the right notes. Quality is top notch and the production value is at a premium. Make no mistake at the price point Valiant is putting this TPB it's NO brainer in picking it up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
